Attend one of our free workshops to learn how our Homeownership Preservation Specialists, Iris Gonzalez and Brenda Brown, can help you! We host workshops the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month. Sign in at 5:45 PM; workshop starts promptly at 6PM and lasts until around 7:30 PM. Seating is limited and pre-registration is required. Call us at 414-562-5070 to pre-register. Held at Select Milwaukee, 2209 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr., 2nd floor. Offered in English and Spanish; no child care available.

District 5 Crime Analysis Meeting (5:30 pm - 6:30 pm)
Join District 5 residents and police officers at the district station on the corner of MLK and Locust (2920 N. 4th St.). Community liaison oficer Ray Robakowski hosts these monthly meetings, always on the first Thursday.

Riverwest Neighborhood Association (RNA) Meeting (7:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
The Riverwest Neighborhood Association (RNA) holds its general meeting every second Tuesday of the month, usually at 7pm. Check the RNA website at www.my-rna.org to confirm time and location information.
RNA is a 401(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization with an elected board and annual elections open to all members. There are no membership fees or dues, but donations are encouraged and accepted.
Membership and voting privileges are granted to anyone who lives in Riverwest, which means west and north of the river, south of Capitol Dr., and east of Holton St. with an extended area out to Richards St. in Harambee and Williamsburgh Heights. People and organizations outside that area may apply for an affiliate membership, which does not include voting privileges.

American Cancer Society: Strut For The Cure Charity Event (6:00 pm - 10:00 pm)
At the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Milwaukee, we are hosting a charity event called Strut For The Cure (www.strutforthecure.com). Tickets are $75/person, $100/person VIP, +group discounts for 8 at $65/person (must be booked on one credit card at time of purchase). We are also giving away a ticket each week if you Facebook fan page us ( http://www.facebook .com/strutforthe cure), and/or follow us on Twitter ( http://twitter. com/strutforthec ure) It goes from 6-10pm, with a fashion show at 7:30pm featuring cancer survivors modeling the latest & greatest from local boutiques such as Brooks Brothers, Detour, Flair, and Goldie. There will also be $5 drink specials after 10pm in the Zen Den. Food & beverages will be provided by Bar Louie, Milwaukee Chop House, Bistro 333, Five Rivers Wine, Sprecher, Stone Creek Coffee, and many others. A raffle of several gift certificates from local businesses, including from the organic, hydroponic farm I work at, Sweet Water Organics (www.sweetwater- organic.com) , and various local restaurants, plus an auction of gift certificates from the boutiques that are donating clothes, and gift certificates from other establishments, such as a 3mo membership +massage +personal training from Invivo(!) will also be featured.
