hen it was scandalous to show even a bit of ankle\, a daring group of wome
n covered their bodies in tattoos and traveled the country\, performing ne

ges.&quot\;\n \n The first book of its kind\, The T
attooed Ladyuncovers the true stories behind these women. Combining thorou
gh research with more than a hundred historical photos\, labor history\, c
ircus life\, and the marked impression left on contemporary performers\,Th
e Tattooed Lady pays tribute to these unique and remarkable women.\n
