True Story or Tall Tale? Anti-Hipster, Anti-Obama "Hooligans" Trash Urban Outfitters
Since being posted on an anarchist website on the 15th, this story has been spread around by email and word-of-mouth quite a bit. I haven't seen or heard a thing to indicate it actually happened, and when local anarchists do their various actions, they usually post photos. However, I did hear of a similar plan before this happened, and the incident is being discussed at milwaukee indymedia (another anarchist site) without any question as to its truth.
Looking for a Contractor
Has anyone used a contractor to remodel an attic or garage and turning it into liveable space?
Thanks,

Fire on Palmer Street: Can You Help Clean Up Saturday? (7/26)
Long-time (30+ years) Brewers' Hill resident Jerry Johnson suffered a fire at his home on Palmer St. two weeks ago. Neighbors have been helping with the cleanup and preliminary repairs to avoid condemnation by the City.
Jill Capicchioni from the Historic Brewers Hill Neighborhood Association is again asking for assistance helping Jerry this Saturday (7/26), and she asked me to make this call for help more widely known.
A dumpster is available, and help is needed cleaning up the yard and interior. The main work will be throwing rubble out of the attic and carting it to the dumpster. Fire fighters threw boxes of stored items all over the attic; they are now waterlogged and must be removed.
Even if you can only spare an hour or two please come by Palmer St. (between Reservoir & Vine) to help Jerry with cleaning out the fire. If he is unable to get the house cleaned up soon, they city will condemn the property.
Bring you working gloves, and tools to assist with the clean up. Jerry can be reached at 414-336-6438. You can come any time on Saturday.
Thanks in advance for any help that you can lend to Jerry.
